Gorey Celtic 2 - 0 Butterkrust
Celtics trip into the unknown continues, a hard fought victory on Saturday, has resulted in us being drawn away to Trinithy Corinthians in Round 5 of the competition.
This game was changed to Gorey, as Butterkrust home pitch was deemed unplayable on Friday.
The first half saw Celtic race into a 2 goal lead, Wes fitzpatrick hitting home from 10 yards on 25 mins and afer 35 mins, a superb effort from David O'Brien, picking the ball up on the halfway line, beating 2 defenders and cooly finishing past the keeper saw Celtic take complete control of proceedings.
But strangely, this was as good as it got.
The remainder of the game saw Celtic give away possession cheaply, and seemed content in letting Butterkrust have the ball from Long periods, in fairness Big Jack in the Celtic goal was rarely tested
A strange performance, yet we won. We have certainly played better in the last two weeks and lost.
Team: Big Jack, Paul Timmins, David Melia, Mark Tyndall, David Gahan, Craig Connor, Danny Reilly, William Keogh, David O'Brien, Wes Fitzpatrick, Ger Carey.
Subs: Brendan Doyle for Reilly (40 mins, inj), Barry Glencross for Carey (60 mins), William Keogh.
