St. Leonards 2 - 1 Gorey Celtic under 12 A
The under 12 A team made the long journey to St. Leonard's for the opening game of the season where we were the unlucky losers in a very entertaining game. We netted first with a great finish from Jordan Synnott after Aaron Heffernan feed him with a lovely through ball and we should have added a couple more before the break but we just lacked the killer finish.

After the break we continued making chances but failed to increase our advantage, letting St.Leonards back into the game, they soon equalized making our lads dig in more but we couldn't find that goal. In the last couple of minutes we hit the post St. Leonards mounted a counter attack and some how the ball found its way into our net.
The final whistle sounded after the tip off and we came away with nothing after all our good work.
Lee Cullen deserves a special mention in a very good team display.
