Gorey Celtic under 10 Girls 5 - 2 Courtown Hibs under 10 Girls
The celtic girl's opened a new chapter in the Gorey Celtic story. We fielded for the first time in our history a girls team in the under 10 divison 2b of the Wexford schoolgirls league and these little girls didn't let anyone down by beaten our near neighbours Courtown Hibs 5 -2 in a thriller at the our newly named grounds, Umbro park.
The girls played as a team and after an early shock when they went 1-0 down they dug deep and found their footballing feet and replied soon after with a good strike from Debhlinn Yeats follwed by goals from Niamh Finn and Amy Wilson.

The second half started as the first with the Hibs girls coming out of the blocks fastest and adding to their tally. Our young girls got back in their stride with Debhlinn and Niamh doubling their tallys for the day making it a day to remember for everyone invovled in the club.
