Shelbourne under 12 3 - 2 Gorey Celtic under 12 A
The celtic lads started this game well straight from the kick off winning controll and passing the ball around like pro footballers. We worked the ball around the park and had the home side chasing shadows but we couldn't find the net. Eventually we get a free-kick 20 yards out and Cian Byrne slams home the free for goal number 1, five minutes later Dion Leeson finishes of a great move with a cracker to double our score . We kept up the tempo but just couldn't add to the tally.

The second started with just the pressure being applyed by us and still no reward . The injurys started with first Dion Leeson limping off . Then we got hit on the counterattack and we should have cleared stronger but fair play to the shelbourne player his persistence payed off with a goal. Next Cian Byrne limped off. Shelbourne got their tails up and started to make a game of it now and the ball was travelling from end to end with us still playing the better football but again we got caught and now the game was level at 2-2 .
The lads kept pushing for the winner but a couple of the lads didn't pack their shooting boots on the day. Shelbourne again attacked once more and we cleared for a corner and with the resulting
corner an unlucky Lee Cullen headed the ball into the roof of the net instead of out the field. Two mins Later we lost Lee Cullen as he also limped off injured.
This was a game we should have won don't mind coming away with nothing .Ciaran Finn was man of the match with a soild display in the middle of the park.
